In the summer of 2018, The Magicians superfan that I am decided to take upon herself to write an unofficial book for people to play a dnd-like game with the universe and lore of the Syfy’s show and Lev Grossman’s book The Magicians.
The first two editions were tries and errors in creating a system that could work and make sense and have enough power balance between the different classes.
The third edition was created as season 5 of The Magicians TV show was nearing the end. This led to an update! Now, 3rd E added all the lore and spells from s05, added the lore and spell from the comic books created by Lev (at boom!studio) and have been playtested by tabletop RPG players to make sure that the quirks and problem of the first two editions would be the best there is. Thanks to an AMAZING Kickstarter campaign that went over my wildest dream, I was able to create the first edition of The Monster Book , a companion piece of the the main book. Also, I was able to hire the amazing Evelyn Rogers (evelynleerogers.com)to make amazing art through both books.
